Mac installation Help
Poly-Ana is available on Mac in both Audio Units and VST format. You need to install both versions for the AU version to work correctly, so even if you only want the AU version, be sure to install the .vst files as well.
To install Poly-Ana on OSX:
- Close any VST or AU host programs.
- Open the downloaded Poly-Ana_1xx.dmg (disk image) file by double clicking it.
- Copy the Poly-Ana.vst and Poly-AnaFX.vst files from the downloaded image to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ folder. (There is a folder included in the disk image that you can drop them on to automatically place them in the correct location.)
- Copy the Poly-Ana.component and Poly-AnaFX.component files from the downloaded image to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder. (There is a folder included in the disk image that you can drop them on to automatically place them in the correct location.)
You MUST make sure the .vst files are installed as well or the AU components will not work. (The .vst installation is no longer required in version 1.18, however if you have projects using Poly-Ana.component version 1.17, then you should not install the new .component files. Instead, keep your old 1.17 .component files and be sure to install the new .vst files in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ and your old projects should load OK.)
- Restart your VST or AU host. Note that in some hosts you may need to "rescan" for plug-ins at this time.
- Poly-Ana and Poly-AnaFX should now appear under instruments and effects respectively in your AU and VST hosts

Known issues in 1.17 OSX versions:
- LilPoly-Ana.component conflicts with Poly-Ana.component. We recommend you install one or the other, but not both. The VST versions are fine however and will not conflict (in fact, this ID "conflict" is intentional so that tracks recorded with Poly-Ana or L'il Poly-Ana are interchangeable between the two renderers).
- Program Names are not being communicated between AU host and the Poly-Ana plug-in. We're working on this but it shouldn't cause any problems actually using the plug-in. Whether you prefer Poly-Ana's or the host's interface for program naming, either will work and be correctly recalled with your projects.
