Poly-Ana is finally here! Get ready for a new experience in virtual analog synthesis! Poly-Ana uses a different approach than most other VA soft-synths which we feel delivers a sound more authentic to the early analog synths that inspired her features. This "brute-force" method admittedly requires more processing power than other common techniques, but is a far truer model of the functioning of real analog instruments. If you obsess over the quality of your sound like we do then you won't mind using a bit more CPU power to help get you closer to that real analog sound; a sound that so many other VA synths fall too-far short of. (Note that Poly-Ana also offers a Quality option to reduce CPU usage during performance-time at the expense of sound quality.) Poly-Ana's voice architecture is an ambitious combination of all the best features of the famous analog classics, plus a few new features (totaling 185 controls!) which, while possible back in the day, would have been prohibitively expensive to implement in hardware. But as a software-only product, Poly-Ana doesn't face these limitations, and we held nothing back in designing our "ultimate analog dream synth". Combine this with a classic styled design that puts every parameter a single click away, with large, easy to grab knobs and switches that behave like the real-world items; and with no hidden drill-down menus so that each and every control is prominently displayed out where you can see it; Poly-Ana offers a true alternative in software synthesis.

Catalog also mentions he used: "Bertill by Shruiken to get the growl in the melody track. Flofi by Betabugs for the harmony, Tl's pocket limiter, Blockfish by digital fish phones, and Arguru's Stardust as a mastering tool. The track is just 6 instances of PolyAna and one instance of Kore Player Free by NI for the hi hat. All synths, kick drum, and snare are PolyAna." Nice one catalog!
"Run, Captain, but also dance" 256 kpbs MP3. 3.59 MB	Some very authentic sounding 80s jazz/funk in this all-Poly-Ana song by The unshushable Coktor, titled Run, Captain, but also dance. This one really shows off Poly-Ana's expressive capabilities as a hands-on player's instrument. Says Coktor, "Everything you hear is Poly-Ana, all synths and all drums and fx. I used effects such as compressor on some of the drums, reverb and delay on most of the synth sounds, but only to enhance the space, not to modify or distort the sounds (meaning no chorus or phasers or such)."

Background Template PSD file a layered PSD file to get you started making custom Poly-Ana backgrounds. To make your own custom Poly-Ana background, place a 1000x750 PNG format image file named "Poly-AnaBG.png" in the same folder as your Poly-Ana.dll. Here are some examples to get you started. Remember to rename them "Poly-AnaBG.png", place them in your \Admiral Quality\ folder where Poly-Ana.dll is installed, and restart Poly-Ana to see your new background. Send us your background image and if we like it we'll post it here!
